Join us for our March Mentorship Breakfast in 2021 on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021.

Our featured mentor is Ellisha Mott, Vice President at Mott Electric.  Ellisha is the 4th generation of one of the oldest and largest electrical contracting companies in the region – entering its 90th year of business in 2020.  Ellisha joined her family's organization – Mott Electric in 2014, when TELUS began to invest billions to upgrade the countries telecommunications network across Western Canada. In this short time, she has established Mott Telecom, as the largest in-house fiber optic contractor in BC. With a higher-than-industry-average number of female team members, she has developed an environment that favors brains over brawn in a traditionally male trade. Most recently, Ellisha has taken on the role of Vice President, which oversees 5 diverse divisions under the electrical umbrella. Under her leadership, Mott Electric has been championed as one of BCs Top Employers, and the Family Enterprise of the Year for BC.  

Before Mott, Ellisha acquired a Master's Degree in Business and Psychology at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and worked for the London 2012 Olympic Games. In her spare time, she can be found in the mountains downhill skiing, in the countryside on horseback or exploring the BC coast by boat. Ellisha looks forward to continuing to shape the infrastructure industry with her progressive approach to leadership and women in construction; while leading her family's company to its 100-year milestone!
