CCW Webinar - New Technologies in Construction


Today, new technologies in construction are being developed at a breakneck pace. What seemed like future tech 10, 20 years ago like connected equipment and tools, telematics, mobile apps, autonomous heavy equipment, drones, robots, augmented and virtual reality, and 3D printed buildings are here and being deployed and used on jobsites across the world. Join our New Technologies in Construction Webinar on Thursday, Nov 26th, and get to know some of the major areas where technology is impacting and improving the construction industry nowadays. Our speakers include:


Lesa Vaughan
,
 is the Senior Account Manager for IMAGINiT Technologies, Autodesk's
largest partner in North America.  With
over 20 years in the technology industry, Lesa has spent the last 6 years
working with Architects, Engineers, and Construction companies across Atlantic
Canada helping them overcome building planning, design, and construction
challenges through technology.  Lesa has
spoken at the Nova Scotia Architect's Conference, and the Halifax Chapter of
ASHRAE sharing industry trends and best practices with these organizations and is
active with the Atlantic Canadian Revit Users Group. Lesa is an avid musician and lives near
Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia.




Brey Tucker
, Senior Industry Manager - Project Delivery with Autodesk. Aubrey "Brey" Tucker is an Enabler, Technologist, International BIM Speaker, Author, University Lecturer, and Revit Expert with an extensive career with skyscrapers, hospitals, schools, airports and technology implementation for architects, engineers, and contractors. He's a Senior Industry Manager at Autodesk, where he focuses on the Project Delivery strategy, Common Data Environments, BIM and ISO compliance and the data thread that ties many of Autodesk's cloud and desktop offerings together. He's been using VR for a decade and AR since HoloLens; loves thinking about what the next immersive interfaces will be, and how design can be experienced digitally. His XR interests were a part of what got him on the corporate innovative technology team at Stantec where he investigated many potential business adoptions of emerging technology like data visualization from siloed data, quantum computing for transportation, AI-object recognition & inference, computational/automated design and many others. Brey now resides in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is additionally a part of the VRARA, Detroit-Volterra Foundation, UBC SALA, CANBIM and BuildingSMART Canada.










Jennifer Pape
Client Executive with Simple5D, she 
loves helping people find new ways to streamline and optimize their project delivery using technology. She has spent the majority of her career in B2B technology sales, gaining experience in legal practice management, ERP software and now construction and development. While working with builders and developers on their VDC needs is her primary job function by day, Jennifer also enjoys spending time with her family and tending to her ever-growing collection of plant babies.







Javier Glatt, Co-Founder; Fernanda Schwab, Project Manager with CadMakers. Javi will introduce Fernanda who will demonstrate a new innovative web application product called cmBuilder (cmbuilder.io). Built mobile first, cmBuilder is a 100% web-based 5D construction site planning product that provides access and mobility to general contractors and construction managers like never seen before. Fernanda graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from UBC in 2017, and has worked with CadMakers since. She began her career as an AEC Integration Specialist, analyzing the constructability of several disciplines in construction projects. She has since moved to a project management role and now oversees a variety of projects ranging from concrete, wood frame, and mass timber.
