Join us for a delicious meal at the Uber Lounge in Steamworks on Tuesday March 3rd, 2020 and get a behind the scenes look at the workings of CCW.
At the Annual General Meeting you will be introduced to the roles of each of the board members; you will learn what your membership & event fees are used for, what was accomplished this past year, get a sneak peak of the upcoming events, and, of course, vote for your new Board of Directors for 2020!
This is a great opportunity to share your input! What do you want to see CCW do in 2020? We will review the last years events, financials & memberships and share our goals for the year ahead. Bring your ideas, your suggestions and your vote!

The business of the AGM includes the election of the new Board of Directors for 2020. We have the following proposed nomination slate:

Secretary:
- Attend monthly board meetings, held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6-8pm at 900-808 Nelson Street, Vancouver.
- Prepare the agenda for each board meeting. To prepare the agenda, send an email to the board of directors 3 to 4 working days before the meeting to request reports from the directors. Send another reminder 2 days prior to the board meeting. The reports received from the directors form the agenda for the meeting.
- On the day of the board meeting ask the Association Coordinator for the names of board members that are attending the meeting via conference call and email them the agenda package (this will include the agenda and the minutes of the last board meeting)
- Make copies (or ask Vanessa, the President, to make copies) of the agenda and previous meeting minutes for the board meeting.
- After each board meeting, distribute the minutes to the board of directors and committee members within 3 business days.
- Take minutes at the annual AGM, usually held in mid to late February each year.
Sponsorship Director:
- Attend monthly board meetings, held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6-8pm at 900-808 Nelson Street, Vancouver. Review the new sponsors (if any) and report to the board at the monthly board meetings.
- Work with the board of directors to identify potential annual and event sponsors and to update and sponsorship packages.
- Coordinate with the communications team to promote sponsorship opportunities (annual and event) by such initiatives such as occasional social media blasts.
- Maintain and update the sponsorship page on the website (with assistance from the Association Coordinator).
Director at Large:
- Attend monthly board meetings, held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6-8pm at 900-808 Nelson Street, Vancouver.
- Contribute to discussions about events and other initiatives of CCW.
- Provide support to other directors.
