How to Make Water Conservation Work in California

Later this summer, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) could vote to adopt a proposal that would eliminate a best-practice regulatory tool – known as decoupling – that currently removes the incentive for water suppliers to sell more water.

AGENDA

I. Chamber of Commerce  Introduction of attendees

II.  Special Guests

John Tang, VP of Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations at San Jose Water Company will be presenting information on the benefits of severing the link between the utility's revenue and its sales, and requiring significant conservation investments by the utility.

Also, Ashley Shannon, Senior Water Conservation Specialist with the Santa Clara Valley Water District will share information on water conservation programs and rebates.

This event is free to attend, but we invite you to make a donation upon registration.  Your contribution will help us continue to provide these resources to you and your business.
