We are delighted to welcome back Zoë Younger,, Registered Clinical Counsellor with Wise Counselling and Conflict
Resolution
 o
Tuesday October 30th  .In January this year, Zoë hosted a sold-out conflict resolution workshop for CCW, and this month she returns to discuss the challenges surrounding substance abuse and the legalization of Cannabis in Canada.

Substance use affects everyone. The legalisation of Cannabis in Canada, and ongoing reports about the fentanyl crisis, raise a lot of questions for employers, parents, and communities.  Come and learn about different substances, and how they affect the body and the brain. This presentation will also highlight some of the signs of substance misuse, and potential interventions to help a person struggling with a substance use disorder.

Learn and discuss some strategies on how to address the problem at home, at work, and in the community, with an emphasis on unique challenges of the construction industry.  Learn what employers and employees can do to promote a safe and healthy workplace, and what to do in an emergency. Ask questions and find out where to get more information and support.
