Bronwen Wood is Psychologist who has been working in the addictions field in various roles for over 20 years. She has been developing and delivering groups for addiction clients and offenders for the past 25 years. During this time, she has trained over 100 practitioners to delivergroups. It is an area she is passionate about because she can see the increase in learning and participation by group members when dynamics are addressed. This training will focus specifically on the types of unhelpful themes that can present after being exposed to a life threatening trauma. It will discuss how to support those we work with to identify that these thoughts are opinions that have developed from past experiences. It will discuss different techniques to begin to adjust these unhelpful thoughts to more balanced perspectives. The aim of this to learn to not be led by your unhelpful thoughts and reducing emotional impact.
