The Oakridge Redevelopment project will transform the area into a mixed-use, transit-oriented, major cultural hub and new municipal town centre for the City of Vancouver. It will offer a mix of unique retail, office space, residential towers, public park space, a civic centre, a library, a daycare, a seniors' centre, and much more.
Phase I - North consists of extensive demolition of the existing Oakridge Centre and precise civil excavation to prepare for the sustainable high-rise buildings that will form the mixed-use community. The project goes further to include a three-storey below-grade parkade, a below-grade pedestrian passage and the podium portions for the numerous buildings. Phase I - South involves the demolition and reconstruction of the existing centre.
Please note: Full personal protective equipment, including CSA approved safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves and high visibility vest are required in order to attend the tour. Anyone not in possession of these items will not be permitted to walk the site.
