As kinksters we often take the time to talk about risk to our bodies or to our minds, but rarely to our privacy. Each person will have a different risk profile, and that includes meeting people in the scene and your digital presence. This class will briefly review common risks and scenarios while giving you real examples from the Chicago scene and Fetlife. We'll also discuss privacy in the age of AI, what settings to change on Fet for a better and safer experience, and examples of pitfalls with profiles and photos. After this class you'll have a basic understanding of how to better protect your privacy across munches, events, and online. There will also be recommendations for safer communication tools and techniques, and plenty of time for discussion.ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORCollaredChaos (she/her) is a sadist and Domme in the Chicago scene. She is indigenous, queer, and neurodiverse. She has worked in IT for 20 years and most recently in cybersecurity with a focus on human risk. She hopes to bring her professional knowledge to the scene to help protect other kinksters in a time of heightened surveillance where women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ people are increasingly being targeted.
