Bring your own rope, your curiosity about bondage and most important, bring your fabulous self. Bringing a partner is optional and we welcome rope bottoms of all identities and genders who support our goal of creating an inclusive atmosphere. GD2 will never stand for transphobia or cis-privilege and we are an explicitly welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ and POC participants.
Our Attendance Policy - Who is this space for?
If you identify as trans or gender expansive, you're invited to join us to explore rope bondage using peer-to-peer skill sharing and unconference learning. Bring an open mind, your curiosity, and rope and join us in this trans affinity group for learning and practicing. If you would like to bring a guest who identifies as cis, we welcome them but ask that they center and keep space for the trans and gender expansive people at the event. Cisgendered bottoms may join and participate only as the paired rope bottom of a top and are expected to speak from a bottoming perspective; not to dominate the conversation; to be aware of their impact on the learning environment and not to offer tying advice or suggestions except as it relates to their specific needs as a bottom.
The intention for this event is to center trans and gender expansive people who are interested in rope and the rope community. You do not need to come with any rope experience, nor do you need to bring a tying partner with you. We aim to foster a welcoming and inclusive community for skill sharing and practice. All rope within the space will be for practicing, labbing, or demoing, meaning no scenes will be allowed.
If you are looking to tie and you are part of our centered group, our event assumes no previous rope experience, but will still add to your knowledge base and provide fun practice opportunities and social connections.
For people who want to BE tied by those in our target group and share any of those identities, you are welcome to come solo! You're important to this community.
We work to hold a welcoming and inclusive space. If we do not meet this goal, please mention it to GD2 Staff or your host, so that we can do better.
