Abstract: This presentation provides a comparative review of the Alberta Montney and Duvernay resource plays, two of the most significant unconventional resource plays in Canada. The presentation will analyze and contrast key attributes and features of the two plays, including recent oil/condensate performance, variability of fluid windows, basin decline rates, pad design and inventory run room. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the performance of these two plays and their comparative attributes.Presented By: Jared Wynveen, P.Eng. - Executive Vice President, McDaniel and AssociatesJared Wynveen graduated with a Mechanical Engineering (BSc.) degree from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario. He joined McDaniel & Associates in 2006 and is now an Executive Vice President and a Professional Engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). Mr. Wynveen has been responsible for evaluating numerous conventional and unconventional oil and gas companies in Canada. In particular, Mr. Wynveen has significant experience evaluating unconventional tight gas and oil reservoirs in Western Canada including the Montney, Duvernay and Spirit River (Wilrich) as well as extensive oil sands evaluation experience both within Canada and internationally. Mr. Wynveen has extensive experience providing buy side economic and technical analysis to private equity firms, pension funds and foreign investors interested in acquisition or funding of Canadian resource developments. In this capacity, Mr. Wynveen works directly with the business development team from the potential acquirer and provides insight into the unique technical and economic attributes of Canadian resource development. Mr. Wynveen is also very involved in oil and gas education and training and commonly presents at educational forums and financial conferences. In the last year he has participated as a Co-Chair and presenter at the SPE Montney Workshop, a committee member and presenter at the SPE Production Forecasting Workshop, presenter at the TD Securities Energy Conference and acted as a committee member at the Canadian Heavy Oil Association Fall Business Conference and the "Slugging it Out Conference".
